Gemma

Gemma has been tattooing since 2013 and has worked in a number of studios and environments, including tattoo conventions and Download Festival. A Londoner born and bred, her first ever job at the age of 15 was in a tattoo studio in North West London. Here she learned all about studio hygiene, customer relations and the every day running of studio life. She moved to the coast in 2009 to study Illustration at the University of Portsmouth. Once she finished her degree she was lucky enough to secure a position as an apprentice under Steve Hunter and thus began her tattooing journey!

Over the years she has developed a particular passion for colourful Japanese and Pop Culture tattoos but is more than happy to take on most styles of tattooing including black and grey, dotwork, fine line and portraits. If there is anything she feels she can’t help you with she will always be happy to refer you to someone who can.

It’s particularly important to Gemma for her to build a good rapport and friendship with her customers. Not only does this help her determine what will work best for each individual persons tattoo needs, but she understands getting tattooed can sometimes be quite a daunting experience!
